A year later and I’m finally sharing this amazing session I had the pleasure of doing. Jameelah is a favorite. She is the whole package friends. Beautiful, inspiring, grounded, stylish, a successful interior designer, and she cooks…oh my goodness the list goes on! I had the pleasure of meeting Jameelah during the very early start of the pandemic. I photographed a private dinner for one of her clients and since then I’ve had the pleasure of also doing her branding session, not once but twice. When she reached out and said she wanted her engagement session done I was absolutely thrilled.
Jameelah wanted a sultry-classic vibe and I’m definitely a lover of classic. How lucky am I to have clients who look like they came straight out of a magazine? This session satisfied and met all my creative editorial needs!
Y’all. I cannot believe I had to do this in 30 minutes. When we arrived at the studio we realized it wasn’t the spot we thought we booked but hair and make was already done and schedules were already allocated so we did a quick session to not let any of that prep time be wasted. I decided to shoot a roll of black and white film even with the short time we had and OH MY GOODNESS! Black and white film never disappoints.
Oh how I wish I had more time (says every photographer) but I’m so happy with what we got under the circumstances that we were in. Thank you Jameelah for trusting me with your vision! I enjoyed meeting Tariq and loved that he was so willing and engaged during the shoot. I am so grateful to have been able to photograph such a gorgeous looking couple.
