Sweet Vintage Backyard Wedding | Atlanta Wedding Photographer

Friends, I’m just now blogging this beautiful vintage-filled detailed backyard wedding! My website was down for over a month when it was time to catch up on blogging so it ended up being delayed. I loved everything about Miles and Emily’s wedding. I say this is a backyard wedding because the couple booked an AirBnb venue in order to have the backyard scene they envisioned for their nuptials and for their families and tight-knit friends to join. And it was oh so beautiful. T

There were so many things to swoon over in regards to details but I especially loved hearing how Emily found all the second-hand, gently used vintage details even down to the flower girl dresses. Emily herself wore a beautiful vintage-inspired lace and tulle bridal gown and she was stunning.

We all love when our fur babies and fur friends make up the bridal party and Sadie girl here graciously walked down the aisle to give us the final AH moment before seeing the beautiful bride. Emily’s mom shared the sweetest words and even read a poem that Emily herself wrote and it totally brought Miles to tears. I LOVED IT!!! Then it was time for the bride and groom to exchange their vows. Some of their words really stuck with me that night. I loved that both Miles and Emily vowed to love one another for who they are and that they promise to love the authentic version and that the marriage would always be a safe place for that authenticity. That is one of the best commitments you can make to one another. In relationships, people change, people grow in their character and when you are in a partnership, you should be allowed to be your authentic self.

These beautiful colored vintaged glasses and goblets were a highlight for me y’all. I was (am) already obsessed with them so seeing them as the actual favors for guests to take home, but to also used during the reception, was so cool! I took it as a sign that it was definitely okay to start building my own collection.

When it was time to call it a night (for me at least) Miles and Emily made sure I had cake, cause if you know, you know…I can’t say I shot a wedding if I didn’t have any wedding cake to end the night! Feed me cake y’all lol. The couple had the go to ‘cutting’ cake and then a special vegan cake for Miles. And the vegan cake was CHOCOLATE. It was the best vegan cake I have ever had. So thank you Miles and Emily, for being so awesome and amazing. I loved seeing everyone celebrate you guys and I am so grateful to have been able to be the one to document it for you all. It was a beautiful and magical evening! Congrats again.
