Mini Session Details | What is a Mini Session?

Mini sessions are short photo sessions typically ranging between 20-25 minutes with a limited amount of photos. It allows for up to 5 family members. Mini sessions are ideal for families looking for a quick update of their family photographs. Because the session is a shorter version of the full session it is not always the right fit for every family. Mini sessions are not recommended for newborns or babies under 6 months of age. Posing can be difficult for babies with such a strict time limit. Mini sessions are also not ideal for shy children as it can take longer to get them to warm up to the camera.

Mini sessions are booked back to back with only a small window between each session. It is for that reason that I ask you to please arrive at least 10 minutes before your scheduled session. If you are late for your session I cannot guarantee that we will be able to shoot for the full allocated time. Please note that all sessions are non-refundable unless Noi Tran Photography cannot make it to your session. Reasonable consideration will be taken into account if a cancellation occurs but I do ask to please do your part to be flexible as there are no refunds if you cannot make it to your rescheduled session.

These sessions are available to book throughout the year except for the month of December. While the mini session does not include as many artistic poses, it does include a mix of traditional poses and candids. I offer seasonal mini sessions at a promotional rate twice a year at my home studio which include the Lunar New Year (Tet) session and the Holiday session.

Lunar New Year (Tet) Mini Sessions: $280

A Lunar New Year mini session is perfect for capturing moms and children in their áo dài outfits (additional fees will incur for extra family members). The session includes a themed setup with some props that show the traditional way Tết is celebrated. The session also includes 2-3 polaroid photos as keepsakes to take home. Wardrobe can be provided upon request for toddlers between the ages of 1-5 years. This session is typically offered during the month of January.

Holiday Mini Sessions: $275

The Holiday mini session is the perfect excuse to get into the holiday spirit. This themed session allows up to 5 family members and includes a 20 minute session with up to 15 edited images. The Holiday mini session is one of my absolute favorite themes as it’s an excuse for me to serve homemade gingerbread cookies and toast with a mimosa in hand with my clients. This session is typically offered during the month of November.
