A few weeks ago I went to the Inman Park Festival with my gal pal (bestie) Genie. First time at the festival and it was a lot of fun. I knew I wanted to snap a few photos so I took my Contax G1 and got a lot colorful images! It was such a lovely day being out and there’s always so much to do in Atlanta. School is just about out and I’m ready to jot down all the activities that are up and coming. One of my favorite things to do is hang out and watch a movie on the lawn. Last year I threw a little backyard party and did our own make-shift movie set up. It was a big hit and I’m seriously considering doing that again. We’re suppose to be outside enjoying the outdoors!
Genie and I ate noodles from one of the food trucks at the event. Island Noodles (I think) was so ridiculously good. Maybe Genie put way too much siracha hot sauce and maybe it was just being at the event but dang they were good! I’m definitely making sure to keep an eye out for this vendor whenever Atlanta food trucks are present.
The Inman Park Festival takes place within the neighborhoods of old historic homes. While walking I also admired the homes which is an extra treat. I’m still dreaming of my wrap around porch (maybe when I retire). The event offers a colorful parade, shopping from local artist markets and a lovely outdoor park for hanging around. It’s a Saturday and Sunday event so be sure to catch it next year. It’s a ton of fun!
