Friends Gathering

Neutral colors with drips of gold never gets old y’all. A lot of my own home decor has bits of gold accent and when things tend to change up a bit around the home, my pieces with gold accent always go well with everything.

Well today I’m pulling a session from the vault that is filled with soft neutral colors and just the right amount of gold accent. It’s from a vendor’s branding shoot I did a while back with Alyssa of Ginger Rose Florals. You guys know Alyssa! If not you might recognize her from the Atlanta Botanical Gardens maternity shoot that I did for her. We did this branding shoot way before then when we were first developing our professional relationship. I’m thankful we had the chance to work a couple projects together because it led to our friendship now! The idea of the shoot was to put together a pretty table setting for ‘friendors’ and I chuckle now because Alyssa really is a good friend and now that she has her sweet ADORABLE baby girl, I get a special treat of getting to play with Yaya whenever we’re hanging out.

The entire shoot was put together by Sara of Sara Gillanne Weddings And Events. She pulled together a great team and I had a lot of fun watching it all come together. I mean, I was the photographer, but I still got to watch each vendor do their thing and be in ‘their’ element, beasting out.

Our awesome shoot was also featured on Magnolia Rouge in their lifestyle category which you can read all about what Alyssa had to say on their website. I also wanted to add in here that our shoot was a four part shoot and one of the table designs that Sara came up with called “Iridescent” was actually featured on Martha Stewart Weddings online! YAY team!!! I made sure to include a few photos of that feature at the very end of this blog post!

I favored a few florals from this shoot which were the sweet pea, the anemone–but of course, and the combo rose! The roses were gigantic and they were some of the prettiest pastels I’ve seen! So I’ve helped Alyssa process flowers before and still do whenever she needs that extra help and I never get tired of being around the anemone. Florals really are therapeutic for me y’all. Flowers make me happy and brightens up my day no matter what kind of mood I’m in. So having a centerpiece for your table is a plus guys, and your guess will definitely feel special when gathered for a meal or just sitting around sharing light hearted laughs. Now we might not get down the way Alyssa does but we can manage something simple enough right? Look at Alyssa go y’all!

Alyssa is amazing at what she does and this woman is fast!!! It seriously took her maybe fifteen, maybe not even, to put together the first arrangement! Be sure to check out more of her work {here}
