Ahhhh the excitement of having your own business and the first year of growth–it’s filled with nerve-wrecking butterflies but the thought of all the possibilities that await far out-weigh the fear. I remember exactly how that was like for me. And having a set of portraits to reflect this exciting moment of your life is essential, all the same as writing down your goals and where you see yourself in the next couple years. Writing down your dreams and revisiting the journey makes it more special when paired with photos. I was ecstatic when Rachel asked me to photograph her. This collection is in anticipation of her new website and branding. I can’t wait to see her new website!
Dark clouds and rain threaten our session time but we had cover in Rachel’s lovely screened sunroom. I also love her chic interior styling and couldn’t resist grabbing a couple detail shots. Along with details we also included her fur babies, Lucious and Theodore. They are the sweetest!
The rain did parade down on us eventually. Rachel took advantage of the weather and we ended up having her play in the rain. Rachel mentioned the idea and I’ve always wanted to do a rain session!!! We certainly were on the same wavelength. I had a blast photographing Rachel and being a part of this stage of life with her. I’m thankful we were able to connect through the love of photography. Even when I was taking a break I still enjoyed hearing about her success and the way God has led her to doing what she loves most.
