An Atlanta Lifestyle Family Session At Home

A family session that ought to be titled “a day and life of Emmett”. In this fun filled session we have lego time, reading time, some cookie dough and even a little glimpse of a piano player in the making. I’m tickled at how these simple little ordinary moments means so much to Emmett. I loved seeing his energy invested into every moment of good ol’ play time.

Oh my goodness did you guys catch Kaiser, their Doberman Pinscher? I remember first meeting Kaiser when he was still a young pup, maybe at two years old and he loved bringing in all kinds of sticks. I was over at Maxi’s for an Atlanta Photographer’s group meeting and Kaiser came in with a long stick that couldn’t even fit through the door. But he was determine to bring it in. So Maxi brought it in for him and he sat on the couch happily with his treasured find. It was absolutely the most adorable thing ever. And during our photo session he was pressed on being in all the photos. Poor Kaiser wasn’t too happy when we only focused on the humans (see him sulking on his dog bed lol). I made sure to take enough photos of Kaiser so he didn’t frown too long.

And I mentioned cookie dough! It would have been a treat to have actually baked the cookie dough so after the session we could have munched on them. But at the same time no one would have paid attention and they probably would have burned lol. Emmett was promised that the cookies would be baked as soon as the session was over. So yay for that!

After some outdoor photos we finished with some more time on the piano and I can’t get over Emmett’s outfit!!! The corduroy overalls is so stinkin cute! I pay close attention to little boy’s fashion because of my Bray Bray. It’s so hard to find stylish clothes for little boys so when I see something I’d like for Brayden, I take notes.

Emmett showed a good bit of interest in the piano and I seriously believe he should take up lessons. It’s always a good thing to be musically talent! I hope you do get lessons Emmett! I’d love to hear you play some day.

I know I talked a lot about Emmett but let’s praise parents Maxi and Taylor. Of course Emmett is stylish because his parents always are too! I couldn’t love this classic look anymore then I do right now. It’s always a pleasure having Maxi and Taylor in front of my camera. They were always my go to couple for styled shoots… I mean how gorgeous are they? And they are so easy going and naturals. It was such a treat getting to photograph the entire family this time around! Until next time, and I do hope there’s a next time!
