Today I’m sharing an intimate wedding from Gwinnett Historic Courthouse. The courthouse is where I finished up my internship (a long long time ago) when I attended Gwinnett Technical College for my AAS in Business Management. I photographed a wedding at the courthouse shortly after I became a full time photographer and since then hadn’t step foot inside. So it was a nice revisit along with being able to document Linda and Gary’s intimate wedding celebration.
I’m really grateful that my job allows me to witness some of the sweetest moments between two people and Linda and Gary’s nuptials is one of them! It was so heartwarming watching Gary stumble over his words as he exchanged glances between his Bride. He was a ball of nerves filled with adoration for his Bride and everyone in the audience was swooning over it. There was even some comic, thanks to Linda’s brother but among the laughter, there was so much love pouring out for the couple.
It’s been so long since I’ve photographed at the courthouse I couldn’t remember if the exposed brick wall was always there but when Linda told me she wanted photos there I was super delighted to see the rustic backdrop. I love a good exposed brick wall!
This black and white photo of Linda and Gary crossing the street is my absolute favorite! I love the look on Gary’s face as he’s holding his bride’s hands ensuring they cross safely and there’s still that fresh excitement from having just said “I do”.
Downtown Lawrenceville has changed so much with the addition of some really nice restaurants. Just across the street from the courthouse is a newer addition, Perry Street Chop House. It was perfect in ambient and very well decorated. The bar was my favorite. The retro chairs with the warm ambient glow was every bit inviting. I also loved the blue velvet booths and would love to return for a date night there soon!
You guys, how cute are Linda and Gary?! I’m a sucker for a romantic moody bar photo! I love that we were able to get some great photos at the bar and that the couple cheered with a drink in hand!
Congratulations to these two on tying the knot and vowing their love for one another. Wishing you both, and your blended families, all the best on this journey! It was such a pleasure and great honor to have been your photographer!
