A friend told me I should start a photo series on my coffeeshop hangs. Well…I do have quite a collection of coffee photos. Matter of fact I print them out too. I purposely like exploring aesthetic shops because I love taking photos of the space and of the coffee. I’m a sucker for cute mugs and chic tea sets.
A few weeks ago I tried out Dr. Bombay’s Underwater Tea Party. This eclectic coffeeshop was already on my bucket list and when another friend brought it back up I figured I should just go ahead and try it out. The place didn’t disappoint. The space is super eclectic and offbeat. I certainly did not feel like I was in Atlanta. Dr. Bombay’s space will take you to a whole new world and I believe, that’s the idea. Visitors can sit and enjoy pastries, tea or coffee. A little corner with soft window light and a comfy couch invites you to grab a good book and stay for a little while. Don’t worry if you don’t have your own book. Their wall space is filled with books that you are certain to find a good read. Since the shop is right in the middle of the Candler neighborhood, it only makes sense to visit the market too. I use to love stopping by the Candler Park Market and grabbing King of Pops ice cream after my photoshoots.
I only took a few photos on my M6 since I had a roll of film in the camera already from a pervious outing. I hadn’t realized that I only had about 6 frames left. I was quite disappointed when I took my last shot on coffee. I want to go back and spend a little more time there and take a few more photos! So return I shall!
