This intimate lake house wedding in Burton Lake up North Georgia Mountains gives me all the feels y’all!!! From the moment that I drove in it was strikingly beautiful. Nestled in a secluded forest, the waters of the lake house had an alluring fog that surrounded it. To say that I was smitten is an understatement.
Maureen and Andrew kept their sweet ceremony as intimate as possible with only having their families present. The weather couldn’t make up it’s mind on whether it wanted to keep raining or break through with sunshine. But we certainly made the most of the beautiful scenery and was able to get portraits out in front of the lake. Maureen had her heart set on exchanging their vows overlooking the lake but there was a slight hiccup.
There’s something about a misty fog that pulls me in and I’m so glad we made the decision to head down the stairs to the dock. We have glimpses of the fog and even rays of sunshine peak through in our photos. Maureen and Andrew are true lovers of nature and spending a lot of time outdoors. This just represents who they are so very much. Perfection is a hard word to use but everything about this day truly was perfect. There’s beauty in the imperfection that makes it PERFECT.
